4.9 million people have lost their jobs in Colombia

The National Administrative Department of Statistics (Dane) of Colombia revealed that, in May, 17.3 million Colombians had an occupation, which meant a reduction of 4.9 million compared to the same month in 2019, according to La República.

According to the Dane, the unemployment rate was 21.4%, which meant an increase of 2.1 million people compared to same period last year.
