Streaming from Disney grows: Hulu has now content from FX
  • With the annoucement, shows like American Horror Story, Archer and Atlanta are coming to the streaming;
  • Disney has already promoted several changes in the platform, as Hulu’s chief marketing officer Kelly Campbell was promoted to president.

Over 40 shows and originals from FX are coming to the video demand service Hulu. According to TechCrunch, the company has announced the launch of a new FX hub on the streaming service this week. This was possible because Disney acquired 21st Century Fox and made a deal with NBCU, which gave the company operational control over Hulu.

Disney has already promoted several changes in the platform, as Hulu’s chief marketing officer Kelly Campbell was promoted to president. That shows that Hulu’s internal leadership is all about promoting the service and letting it grow with subscribers. On the other hand, Disney is looking forward to strategic decisions.

Also, on Thursday, Alex Garland (Ex Machina, Annihilation) will launch his first-ever TV series, Devs. It tells the story of a young software engineer that investigates the division of her employer, which she believes had part in her boyfriend’s murder.

Although FX and Hulu have already worked together in the past, it’s the first time that FX is bringing together both current and past seasons as well as originals to Hulu. The new FX hub is available at hulu.com/fx-on-hulu.
