One third of banked Brazilians, that is, who have a checking account, is a customer of some fintech with digital banking status. This is what a survey of consultancy Kantar anticipated by the newspaper Valor Econômico shows.
Despite consecutive records in active users of names like Nubank, which reached 15 million customers, and Banco Inter, which is close to reach 4 million users, the survey also shows that only 9% of people have a “neobank” their main account.
According to Kantar, in Brazil, India and China, adherence to these fintechs that are already born as digital banks is much higher than in developed countries. According to the consultancy, this is due to the lack of access of the population in these three countries to financial services in general.
