Spotify has started testing a quote-sharing feature for podcasts

Only select users in the US received the testing feature, that rolls out with Michelle Obama's podcast

Spotify has seen growth in subscriptions and podcasts. With the new ‘Michelle Obama Podcast‘, it is debuting an experimental feature to share tidbits from the show on social media, says Engadget. However, for now, it is only available for “select users” in the U.S.

Spotify reported that 21% of its active monthly users listen to podcasts, up from 19% in the previous quarter. Total podcast consumption more than doubled in the period, according to the company. That is why it is investing in the model, rolling out features like video-podcasts.

Also, the company has been investing hard in Latin America. It recently announced a batch of innovations for the region, such as adapting a U.S. hit podcast, Sandra, to Mexican and Brazilian listeners, and bringing a new lyrics feature to 17 Latin American countries.
