Globo Group debuts game licensing with French Ubisoft

Globosat will have exclusives on Just Dance and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six franchises

Grupo Globo, through Globosat, has just announced a licensing partnership with French game developer Ubisoft. Through the agreement, Globosat will have exclusives on Just Dance and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six franchises to create different products. It is the official entry of Grupo Globo in the games market beyond the broadcastings of e-sports championships.

According to Meio&Mensagem, the two companies were already making occasional partnerships, including the transmission of the Brazilian Rainbow Six Championship on SporTV channels and the reality show Looking For a Caster.

Two months ago, Ubisoft struck a deal with Som Livre to add to the Just Dance version of 2020 the song Just After Carnival, by Brazilian singer Lexa.

This year Ubisoft celebrates its 20th anniversary in Brazil.
