Azul will join forces with United Airlines and other players

Aiming at flights connecting the US with Latin America, the Brazilian airline Azul – the third greatest airline company in the country – is currently under negotiation with other three players in the sector in order to settle a partnership. 

Azul, along with Avianca Holdings, from Colombia, the American United Airlines, and the Panamanian Copa Holdings, has announced plans to start coordinating routes as early as in November of this year; but the companies still need regulatory approval to put the plan into operation. In September, the Brazilian airline had already announced that it would start offering new destinations—from six to eight per year—to be launched in the next five years, as well as a $ 1.5 billion investment in 30 new planes still in 2019.
