Social media phenomenon TikTok, which ended the first quarter of the year with more than 2 billion downloads worldwide, is launching a new platform called TikTok For Business, as announced by the company on Thursday, June 25th.

TikTok For Business will host all current and future marketing solutions for brands, such as Hashtag Challenges, feature that allows brands to invite users to create content around a campaign theme (including Hashtag Plus, that enables users to shop for products associated with a sponsored Hashtag Challenge without leaving the app); Brand Takeover, three to five-second ads that can be either a video or image format, In-Feed ads, up to 60-seconds of auto-play video with sound; and Branded Effects, such as stickers, filters, and 2D, 3D or newly launched AR videos. Topview, TikTok’s first video format with up to 60 seconds of full-screen and long-form video, with auto-play and sound is also included.

With TikTok For Business, our goal is to give marketers the tools to be discovered and connect with the broader communities around them,” said TikTok’s managing director for Global Business Marketing, Katie Puris.

“Today, we are also excited to announce our latest AR Branded Effect called Branded Scan, a new product that allows users to have an augmented reality experience with any brand,” the company also stated.
